By Press Releases

ROCHESTER, N.Y., May 11, 2021 /PRNewswire/ — Lite Coms® LLC, (www.litecoms.com ) a recognized world leader in advanced LEO, MEO and GEO Satellite Communications products announced today that their AN/TSC-248(V)-3 Lite Sat-1.3A VSAT Antenna, www.litecoms.com/litesat_1-3,  has received INTELSAT FLEX Certification. This certification allows users around the globe to operate on the global, High Throughput FlexGround network offered by Intelsat General Corp (IGC). The AN/TSC-248(V), Lite Sat 1.3A is a tri-band VSAT terminal available with X, Ku, and Ka-Band RF kits. Its small pack out and ease of assembly have made it the new standard for many customers.

The most unique feature of this antenna over any others in its class is the Lite Link® Graphical User Interface (GUI). This GUI, which was developed through months of user input and feedback sessions, is the most advanced and most automated control software for terminal users around the world. It significantly reduces the tasks the operators must contend with in the field to deploy and manage their SATCOM equipment. The Lite Link® GUI offers many features which have never been available in a VSAT terminal before and are available on all GEO, MEO, and LEO products offered by Lite Coms.

“Lite Coms is very appreciative of our friends at Intelsat for their certification of our Lite Sat 1.3A. They worked at a record pace with our technical team to move this through the process to meet the needs of very important customers,” said Bob Jacobson, President, and CEO of Lite Coms®.  Andrew Colaruotolo, Sr. Director of Operations and Programs added “We would also like to thank:

  • INTELSAT and IGC
  • Mission Microwave,
  • AvL Technologies, and
  • iDirect

for their continuous support as we operated with OpenAMIP and on Velocity 2.0. This very capable product offers users the ability to operate in the harshest environments and provides a new level of simplicity for either the General-Purpose User or a highly trained satellite engineer.”

The Lite Coms team has a wide variety of new products which will be introduced to the world market this year. The innovation in their products and their time to market is unmatched. Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

By Blog Post

The team at Lite Coms® would like to wish everyone a happy St. Patrick’s Day! This spring is shaping up to be a very busy time of year for us, and we like to think we have the luck of the Irish on our side, to have the continued support of our amazing customers and vendors to facilitate our growth. Let us know how you are celebrating your St. Patrick’s Day today!

St. Patrick’s Day Fun Fact: The color associated with St. Patrick’s Day was originally blue, not green!
Though we have come to associate Kelly green with the Irish and the holiday, the 5th-century saint’s official color was “Saint Patrick’s blue,” a light shade of sky blue. The switch to green was made because of the green in the Irish flag, the clover, and the island being nicknamed “The Emerald Isle”.
