Not even Winter Storm Izzy can stop us from delivering customer delight as we prepped for our demos earlier this week. We hope everyone stayed safe in all the snow!
In honor of Veteran’s Day, Lite Coms would like to take a moment to thank all the men and women who have served our country in the military. Veterans and those currently serving deserve our gratitude every day, and we especially want to show our appreciation for their contributions and sacrifices on Veteran’s Day. No matter which military branch or when you served, we respect all you have done to keep our country safe.
Thank you for your service.
Lite Coms is proud to have provided communications at PC21 recently. Six of our Lite Sat 2.2A terminals were present in three different locations, operating over SES O3b. We are always excited to see our terminals in action and providing the customer delight that we strive for in all that we do. Thank you to our partners SES GS, AvL Technologies and Envistacom for making this happen!
Lite Coms was happy to welcome our friends from Intelsat for a visit recently. Luckily the visit happened during a break in all the rain we have been getting in upstate New York, especially because Intelsat brought toys for our engineers to look at!
Lite Coms has successfully integrated the Kymeta U8 terminal onto an MRZR platform. Our collapsible mount is unique, allowing it to roll on/off a CV-22 Osprey. Lite Coms is proud of this expansion of our Polaris MRZR off-the-shelf solutions and custom integrations, and we will continue to expand our product offerings in this category.
Atmospheric conditions from the wildfires created challenging test conditions for us over the past week. Our thoughts go out to those affected by the wildfires themselves and hope all remain safe!
It is an eventful summer at Lite Coms! We have three new faces on our team: Natalie, Tony, and Trevon. Natalie is our new Purchasing, Materials, and Publications Associate. She has a management background and recently earned her MBA and CAPM. Tony joins us as a Sr. Mechanical Engineer, and he has over 10 years of mechanical engineering experience. Trevon is our new Manufacturing Engineer. He is a recent graduate of RIT. All three are excited to be a part of Lite Coms as we continue to grow our team and our capabilities to better serve our customers!
Lite Coms would like to invite any in the community to participate in the following local blood drive, as well as anyone possible to participate in the virtual drive as well. The Fairport Angels is a tragedy close to many Lite Coms employees hearts, and we would like to invite anyone who can to give back and donate.
Spring has sprung in the Finger Lakes Region! We hopefully got our last bit of snow last week and are full steam ahead into summer activities (much to the wishful thinking of our team.) While we try to be as nice to our great Engineers as possible, outdoor development work is much better from this point on! We have some cool news coming out for our Lite Sat-1.3A terminal, watch this space!
The team at Lite Coms® would like to wish everyone a happy St. Patrick’s Day! This spring is shaping up to be a very busy time of year for us, and we like to think we have the luck of the Irish on our side, to have the continued support of our amazing customers and vendors to facilitate our growth. Let us know how you are celebrating your St. Patrick’s Day today!
St. Patrick’s Day Fun Fact: The color associated with St. Patrick’s Day was originally blue, not green!
Though we have come to associate Kelly green with the Irish and the holiday, the 5th-century saint’s official color was “Saint Patrick’s blue,” a light shade of sky blue. The switch to green was made because of the green in the Irish flag, the clover, and the island being nicknamed “The Emerald Isle”.
