JOB TITLE: Assembler C

FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
RATE: Based upon experience
Hours: Mon-Thurs 7:00-4:30, Fri 7:00-11:00

POSITION SUMMARY: The position reports to the Operations Manager. Under general supervision, the Assembler C, will perform varied tasks to assemble electrical and mechanical products. In addition, this person will perform precise assembly tasks on components using diagrams that require a high degree of hand-to-eye coordination.
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ability to follow assembly process details and suggest process improvements
- Strong understanding of Engineering Change Notifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Interface with inspection, test, and fellow manufacturing associates
- Advanced understanding of torque tooling, and ability to adjust where needed
- Advanced solder skills
- Ability to mentor and lead team members
- Ability to multi-task and be a self-starter
- Occasionally lifting and/or move up to 50 lbs.
- Advanced understanding and implementation of mechanical assembly methods
- Advanced understanding and implementation of electrical assembly methods
- Strong understanding in the build of complex cables and harnesses
- Other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 8 years of prior relevant experience assembling electro/mechanical hardware
- Prefer military requirements and specifications a plus
- Advanced experience/knowledge of drawings, parts lists, wiring lists, and work orders
- Excellent assembly blueprint reading experience/skills
- Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
PREFERED EXPERIENCE
- Experience in surface mount technology “SMT” work experience
- Familiarity with test equipment(s), spectrum analyzer, power meter, oscilloscope, etc.
- Team player with strong conviction towards process control, discipline, and respect among team members
- Soldering certification (J-STD-001)
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.

Must consent to and pass a drug screen as conditions of employment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is that of a typical electronic assembly operation with occasional exposure to dust, vapors, heat, cold and noise.
